Damien, I made step by step as your post has indicated and it works for me, no
exceptions - which is weird.
For the sake of test, could you try:
$ hg clone http://hg.nuxeo.org/nuxeo-webengine
$ cd nuxeo-webengine
$ hg up -C 5.2
instead of
# hg clone http://hg.nuxeo.org/nuxeo-webengine#5.2
and could you also clean cache in your browser just in case before the test.
