The javascript errors are fixed,
there is a bug in prototype.js though, in the way AJAX onSuccess responses are
handled on IE:

and a few smaller javascript issues that are easier to fix.
I will need to upgrade prototype.js to 1.6.1 RC2 (for IE8 support) and apply a
patch for the AJAX bug mentioned above.
