Using the package from
http://community.nuxeo.com/static/releases/nuxeo-5.4.1/nuxeo-dm-5.4.1-jboss.zip
starting the server will result in "...Starting process is taking too long -
giving up."
The cause of the error is:
ERROR [org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[jboss.web].[localhost].[/nuxeo]]
Exception sending context initialized event to listener instance of class
org.jboss.seam.servlet.SeamListener
java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not create Component: connectStatus
...
Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
org/nuxeo/connect/identity/LogicalInstanceIdentifier$InvalidCLID
which prevent the nuxeo.war deployment.
