Actually, those running MSO < 2007 are able to open the new formats with a
"compatibility pack" (see
http://office.microsoft.com/fr-fr/word-help/ouvrir-un-document-word-2007-dans-une-version-anterieure-de-word-HA010044473.aspx),
so I see no reason to add a different button.
