Cannot distribute case when I create a the case and the case item in 2 steps

Steps to reproduce:
# Create a case.
=> You're displayed the case view. It has no Distribute tab (ok, since there is
no item yet?).
# Create a case item in the case.
=> You're still displayed the case view and it still doesn't have a Distribute
tab although there is now an item in the case.
# Click on the Case name in the tree on the left.
=> Nothing changes.
# Click on the case item in the tree on the left.
=> The case item view is displayed, and it has a Distribute tab.
# Click on the Case name in the tree on the left.
=> The case view is displayed and now it has a Distribute tab.
