Previously Saved Workflow Route Causes Crash

After loading a workflow route saved under an earlier version of Nuxeo DM, and
starting the workflow, then attempting to approve the document causes a crash,
as does trying to cancel the failing workflow (I saved the stack trace and
context dump, if anyone is interested). The only way I could get rid of the
hanging workflow was to delete the document.
However, when I deleted the saved workflow route, and then redefined the same
route and saved it again, I could use the newly saved route with no problem.
