[Validation errors] Don't display the number of error at each level of the tree

When there is a validation error on an automation chain, for instance, there is
"[1]" displayed in the left menu. When the tree's unfolded, the [1] is
displayed next to:
* Automation,
** Automation Chains
*** the automation chain with the error.
Would it be possible to have the [1] displayed next to Automation only when the
Automation part of the tree is folded and have something like:
+ Automation [1]
then
- Automation
+ Automation Chains [1]
and then
- Automation
-- Automation Chains
--- myChainWithAnError [1]
