Hi,
This problem has been identified thanks to your report, we will try to fix it
for the 5.6 release. Of course if you have a fix, submitting a patch would
speed up the process.
I did not answer to your last comment here because it's unrelated to this
particular bug: this kind of discussion about functional choices would better
go on the forum.
