Hi everybody.

Hi Frederic,

I have recently been able to complete the installation of a developer environment of Nuxeo5, and I just started to use Nuxeo5 to get used to the interface. So I started to make some tests and one of them seems to make the whole system unstable. Here is what I did :

- I started a session as "Administrator".
- Once in th system, I clicked on "Templates" to open the directory.
- Then I went to the "Access Rights" tab.
- I selected the user "Administrator" and "Deny - Manage everything" (which is stupid I know but I couldn't stop myself testing it).

You're right, this is a bit stupid, a bit like saying "I logged in as root on this Unix box, and I couldn't stop myself typing "rm -rf /" and afterwards the system seems to crash" ;)

An administrator in a real-life situation is not supposed to willingly do things that he/she thinks are going to crash the system.

This command when confirmed causes an error, but it also seems to crash the system as I was after that unable to give simple orders such as open directory. I have a log of the server output but this is an error that can be reproduced easily (I tested that command on Templates and Revisions directories with the same result).

Maybe this problem is something you are aware of and already working on ?

Thanks for the report anyway.

My advice when you find a bug: do not write to the mailing list, but fill an issue in the Jira issue / task tracker (http://jira.nuxeo.org/ browse/NXP).

If you've built the application from SVN, please specify from which revision. Otherwise, please specify which release of the installer you have used for your tests.

  S.
