Now for the content. I am exploring Nuxeo, and would like to push some
suggestions, comments...
Here is the first list. Most aspect are oriented towards usability
issues
- [ ] After selecting the creation of a new section, the field that
we are expected to fill first (The title of the section)
should be the active one (were the keystroke are going when
we immediately type). At present, you have to clic in the
field. This remark is valid for lots of other forms : after a
click that open a form, one should be able to start filling
the form without having to click again to select the first
(and often compulsory) field of the form
- [ ] The little red star : one can guest what it means, but there
is a good opportunity here for a TITLE attribute. More
generally, the the TITLE attribute is a quick way to propose
basic help to the interface
- [ ] There should be an way to parametrize some user based
configuration, like for instance the number of visible
documents in each of the Dashboard widget
- [ ] Each time one display an array of data, it should be possible
to select which column is the sort key, and what is the sort
order
- [ ] If the hierarchy of sections or workplaces is a long flat
one, the clipboard disappears at the bottom of the page
- [ ] After the creation of a user, one should be proposed to
create a new one, without having to go back to the list
(saving one step when entering a list of users
- [ ] In addition to "My work list" and the "clipboard" tabs, there
could be a "favorites location" to place shortcuts.
- [ ] In case you chose "+ New Document > File", one should be
able
to Drag/Drop a file from the OS Filemanager onto the "Create
a new Document File" form, as it is usually possible to do
when one display a directory
- [ ] In general, is Nuxeo developing its interface with
Accessibility rules in mind ( See for instance Web Content
Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 : www.w3.org—checkpoint-list
<http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/WAI-WEBCONTENT-19990505/checkpoint-
list> or fr.wikipedia.org—Accessibilité_du_Web)
<http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accessibilit%C3%A9_du_Web)>
- [ ] The vocabulary doesn't seem to be multilingual (one keyword
has only one value, an English one in the demo version of
Nuxeo).
Cheers, Pascal
