Hi,

Some updates have been done on the web widgets engine since the mail I
sent to the list some weeks ago.

here are the major changes:

- full support has been added for Netvibes widgets (www.netvibes.com).
This is done by inserting an iframe into the page, according to the
method documented by Netvibes. This approach guarantees 100%
compatibility with existing widgets, but more HTTP connections are made
to www.netvibes.com. Look at the "UWA Module" widget if you want to play
with it.

- better support is provided for the UWA API, although still minimal.
RSS/ATOM feeds can now be fetched and parsed (see for example the "Feed
reader" widget). This method should be used to create "local widgets"
that are specific to the nuxeo application. Performance is much better
since fewer HTTP calls are made, but there is no guarantee that existing
Netvibes widgets can be used without modifications. I don't think that
it will ever be the goal either.

- the appearance of window and panel decorations can be defined in your
application's setup files. There are different window modes available
('default', 'shaded', ...). Window states are stored on the server, like
other widget preferences.

- UI: the widget panel is folded by default, and it can be opened and
closed.
