The embedded file link that "works" on that note's Files tab looks like this:

So I would guess that the problem URI below should be something along
the lines of "/files:file/" (plural:singular) instead of
"/files:files/" (plural:plural), but I could be entirely missing the
boat.

If this is a defect, but there is a workaround such as hand correcting
the generated <img src=""> HTML, please let me know so I can make some
progress while waiting for the next release.
