Hi, we've issued an announcement yesterday about the release of Nuxeo RCP 2.0.
http://www.nuxeo.com/en/news/nuxeo-announces-rcp2/ Nuxeo RCP is a rich client platform dedicated to ECM applications, based on the Eclipse RCP framework and the Nuxeo core document management services. If you'd like to try it out, you should either: - download the prebuilt binaries from http://doc.nuxeo.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/Downloads (look at the bottom of the page) or - read chapter 2 of the Nuxeo RCP Book to learn how to install the Nuxeo RCP plugins in an Eclipse 3.3 using the Eclipse updater: http://doc.nuxeo.org/5.1/books/nuxeo-rcp-book/html/rcp-overview.html In both cases, you will need to download and install also a Nuxeo EP 5.2.0.M1 server from here: http://www.nuxeo.org/sections/downloads/ (under the "Development (unstable) releases" section) or a recent nightly build, or a Nuxeo EP built on your own from the 5.2 branch (see http://doc.nuxeo.org/xwiki/bin/view/FAQ/DownloadingNuxeoSources ). In both cases, I recommend that you read the Nuxeo RCP book: http://doc.nuxeo.org/5.1/books/nuxeo-rcp-book/html/ (or http://doc.nuxeo.org/5.1/books/nuxeo-rcp-book/pdf/nuxeo-rcp-book.pdf ). We've made this release a RC1 so as to collect feedback from you and fix possible issues before doing a final release. This code is already used in production in several major projects (see the announcement for more information) but may not have been exercised in all the possible ways, and this is the first time we're packaging the application as a standalone demo. Please note that the pre-built binaries are to be regarded as a demo of the platform's capabilities, rather than a useful application. We don't have plans for making a generic standalone Nuxeo RCP application, but we believe that it might be interesting to do so for vertical application and this is one of the reasons we've developed Nuxeo RCP as an open source project.
