Hi,

How do you define "open"? In a browser? In an external application?  
What kinds of documents are you talking about?
For HTML in a browser it's possible to write code to make it scroll to  
any given anchor.
For external documents, for instance Microsoft Word, I'm not aware of  
any published method that allows you to do that. Do you have any  
information on other systems that would do that?
