Hi Anders,
The generic Java Installer and the source contains the same stuff.
But anyway before going live, you need to do some configuration.
You can find information in these pages :
- generic intro : http://doc.nuxeo.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/NuxeoProdSetup
- some guide lines :
http://doc.nuxeo.org/5.1/books/nuxeo-book/html/admin-os-requirements.html
- misc db setup options :
http://doc.nuxeo.org/5.1/books/nuxeo-book/html/admin-database-configuration.html
- if you want to use VCS storage :
http://hg.nuxeo.org/nuxeo/nuxeo-core/file/1.5/nuxeo-core-storage-sql/README.txt
- about monitoring :
http://doc.nuxeo.org/5.1/books/nuxeo-book/html/nuxeo-management.html
Please, don't hesitate to shout if you are lost :)

Hi,
If i want to give a serious try to install Nuxeo for an environment of
say about 1000 persons. Just use it, not contribute in the first
state.
Witch platform type is recommended?
Is it better for me NOT to use the Nuxeo EP Generic Java Installer and
install from source in some kind of way?
I would like some hints and where to start. Maybe there are better
lists or forums where i can
get help with this kind of start up newbie questions. I've been
working with similar portals as olat, sakai, but would
like to give nuxeo a serious try!
Thanks in advance.
/Anders
