Hello, Thankyou very much. This Worked. I just created this settings.xml with the code and pasted in the mentioned path restarted Eclipse. I did not notice any mesage in the maven console window.
@ Anahide Tchertchian: Yes i got a hint that i wil have to set the environment variables in windows. But the above procedure worked well for me.... so i decided to stay with that.
