Hi,
we've built the Windows installers (both for 32 bits and 64 bits
versions of Windows).
They are available on:
http://www.nuxeo.org/static/releases/
We would appreciate if some of those of you who are using Windows
could do an extra round of testing before we advertise them of the
regular download page.
The extra feature of the Windows installers is that they integrate
Nuxeo as a Windows service.
We're also still looking for help wrt packaging on Mac OS (the
packaging itself shouldn't be too hard, creating a GUI for starting /
stopping / reading the log should also be easy but takes an extra time
we don't have currently).
Same for .deb and .rpm packaging on Linux.
(Of course, the ZIP should work on Linux, Mac OS and Windows, but we
really want to make extra easy for people to try out Nuxeo on their
respective platforms).
Last thing: as you have noticed, we have removed the "generic java
installer", as it didn't provide much over the ZIP packaging, and
couldn't be used on headless (Linux) servers. Do you regret this
decision ?
BTW: if you want to help with development or packaging, should should
join the nuxeo-dev mailing list ( http://lists.nuxeo.com/mailman/listinfo/nuxeo-dev
) and we could discuss features and planning there.
S.
