Hi,
I've made a test having the email folder settings similar to the ones
provided by you and the emails were fetched OK.
The only strange problem was an error code returned by Gmail which asked
to enable the IMAP connection too, even the account is accessed with
POP3 protocol in this case.
Have you enabled POP3/IMAP access from your GMail account?
Can you try to connect to GMail using IMAP protocol to see if it works
this way?
