You should use jbossctl which allows to easily manage Nuxeo process.
http://hg.nuxeo.org/nuxeo/nuxeo-distribution/file/5.2/nuxeo-distribution-jboss/src/main/resources/jboss/bin/
chmod +x jbossctl run.sh
# edit bind.conf if needed
# copy jbossctl.conf.sample to jbossctl.conf and edit it to change some
OS parameters
./jbossctl (start | stop | restart | status | tail | tailf | info | help)

> ./run.sh
No need for "start".
We usually use this form:
> nohup ./run.sh &
So you can execute in background and take the complete log in nohup.out.
