Derby doesn't have native fulltext search, so for Nuxeo we implemented an extension that just matches words in the simplest manner (all words are ANDed). See DerbyFunctions.java and EmbeddedFunctions.java in nuxeo-core-storage-sql-extensions.
H2's fulltext search is based on Lucene. But neither H2 nor Derby should be used in production, they don't have enough efficiency when scaling or under load. In an upcoming Nuxeo version we'll provide a unified fulltext search syntax (simple but unified) for the high-level basic fulltext search. Which won't get past the limitations of each underlying search engine, but at least the syntax will be common (I guess we'll use the upcoming CMIS text search expression syntax). -- Posted by "fguillaume" at Nuxeo Discussions <http://nuxeo.org/discussions> View the complete thread: <http://www.nuxeo.org/discussions/thread.jspa?threadID=2695#7705> _______________________________________________ ECM mailing list [email protected] http://lists.nuxeo.com/mailman/listinfo/ecm To unsubscribe, go to http://lists.nuxeo.com/mailman/options/ecm
