Annotea defines a protocol based on http: using it is probably the easiest
way to retrieve or add annotations.

The main difference between pure annotea and nuxeo annotation servlet is
that we extended xpointer to support all use cases.

I am interested in using the Annotea services remotely.

I have looked at the Nuxeo Annotation Service documentation
(
http://doc.nuxeo.org/5.1/books/nuxeo-book/html/nxas-specification.html#d2032e10073
)
and have looked at the source code for the Annotation Service API and
Annotation Service Http gateway.

Is the easiest way for me to get access to the services remotely through the
AnnotationsServlet?

Are there any examples available showing how the annotation services are
called?

Thanks in advance for your help.
