Hi,
we're planning to do a new major release next week. This is the
release that was planned and announced to happen earlier this summer
but didn't happen due to various constraints.
It will be called "Nuxeo EP 5.3" and will feature:
- the new tag service,
- an improved import/export service
- performance tuning after extended benchmarks
- WSS (SharePoint) support
- support OpenSocial widgets (contributed by Leroy Merlin)
- a CMIS (0.62) implementation based on Apache Chemistry (may or may
not be packaged in the release, what do you think?), a project to
which Nuxeo has been an active contributor
- several important bugfixes
- updated documentation
Some of these features are still under active development and we will
keep you updated if anything changes in this plan.
You can help by testing the new features (for instance, using the
nightly builds, when they will be available: http://www.nuxeo.org/static/snapshots/
). We'll keep you posted when they are ready for testing and with
more detailed feature descriptions.
