Thanks Bogdan for the explanation.

Yes this is mainly related to jetty based distribution of webengine where you can deploy multiple WARs in the same nuxeo context.

What was before in
NXRuntime/web
was moved into
NXRuntime/web/root.war
that defines the default WAR of webengine which is bound to the root context (in standalone webengine distribution) This way you can add (only in standalone webengine distirbution!) your own WARs (to deploy for example GWT apps or custom servlets) in {nxserver}/web directory (which is equiv. to NXRuntime/web in JBoss) that will be automatically deployed using the WAR file name (without .war) as a WAR application.

On JBoss this has no impact.

    Hi,

    Just noticed that there is a slight change in the JBoss NXRuntime
    data folder structure from 5.2 to 5.3:

    NXRuntime/web/modules/  ---> NXRuntime/web/root.war/modules/

    Just wondered the significance / reason for this?

    Thanks,

    Sean
