Hi, The integration level depends on what you want to do with your datas. Il you're juste looking for federated search, maybe you've better to place a real-time meta search engin on top of Nuxeo and others applications (and use nuxeo-http-client with PORTAL_AUTH or open search feed).
If you really want to access your other datas from nuxeo webapp you can contribute a new document model and bind it to external databases with custom imports. Yet, if you don't store binaries into nuxeo repository you won't be able to performs fulltext search on them.
