This functionality is not yet implemented. At the moment we implement the fulltext features common to all databases we support, and some of them do not understand fulltext wildcard queries. In the future we'll be deciding on a generic syntax for fulltext features like that (basing them on CMIS), and implementing them for all databases where this is supported. Any help welcome, the methods in question are the methods inherited by each dialect from org.nuxeo.ecm.core.storage.sql.jdbc.dialect.Dialect.getDialectFulltextQuery.
