As Florent said, you can see the tags for all the submodules, going for instance to:
http://hg.nuxeo.org/nuxeo/nuxeo-common/tags So the right tag to use in the modified script seem to be "release-5.3.1" for all the submodules (including those from the 1.6 branch in the original script).
