I believe that having this language based segmentation of
the forums will only contribute to the difficulty in getting
support from the community.

-> Many people are more at ease speaking their native
language, that's just a fact of life. If you look at all the
successful open source projects, once they reach a certain
stage, they get vibrant local communities.

On the other hand, we at Nuxeo can only promise to pay
attention to the English and French forums, but we're happy
to see that the Spanish forum gets attention from people
outside of Nuxeo.

If the idea is to have a separate forum for each main
language you're missing Portuguese, Japanese, Russian and
Mandarin which have more than 100 million native speakers.

-> Indeed, we set up the localized languages we started
first with the languages we had some familiarity with. We
can set up a Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, etc. forum if
someone sends us the localized message to but in the title.

I really like Nuxeo and the one thing I feel it's missing is
a better and more open community (for the Open Source at
least)

-> We're trying very hard to improve what needs to be
improved. In this case we appreciate your feedback, but we
believe we're right in the way we've set up this forum (at
least, in this respect).

Cheers,

  S.
