indeed, Damien's solution looks to be a good one. Btw,
although not exactly related, I am sure that you'll be glad
to know that there is a new configurable widget in 5.4.2
that does autosuggestion of documents and stores their ids
(on  a String Array property); The query is configurable.
Very useful! have a look at
