DATA MODELER The University HealthSystem Consortium, an alliance of over 80 academic health centers, has an opening for a Data Modeler in the Technology Services department. This highly visible role will operate as a Data Modeler for our corporate data warehouse. This position will focus on creating both enterprise-wide and client-focused database solutions. This person must have the ability to work well with technical and non-technical teams. Responsibilities: -Work with requirements analysts to determine business information requirements -Create logical data models and collaborate with design groups for physical design and implementation -Lead and facilitate business requirements sessions -Identify opportunities for integration and standardization of data -Lead a team in the application of the data modeling process using the Erwin data-modeling tool. -Understand the purposes and take ownership of the! data throughout its� lifecycle -Work with DBAs, ETL, BI and other development staff to implement modeled systems Qualifications: � Experience constructing high performance logical and physical data models for an enterprise-wide data warehouse with multiple dependent data marts � Experience with both transactional and dimensional data modeling technologies, Data warehousing environments with at least 5 sources of data and databases of 250+ GB is required � Required skills with data modeling tools, Erwin preferred, relational databases, MS SQL Server preferred, object and/or multidimensional databases is a plus � Experience in modeling Healthcare-related data warehouses a plus, minimum 2 years lead responsibility in data modeling in a data warehouse environment � Bachelor�s in computer science or engineering, master�s preferred � 3 years database design and administration experience � 3-5 years data modeling experience � Solid development ! experience (web-development experience preferred) � Strong technical, analytical, team and customer service skills � Excellent written and verbal communication EOE | ||||||
