ECN: suggestion for alumni...........

Assalam-u-alaikum to all, I received a mail from one of our fellow nedian who has taken the initiative along with others to develop an alumni of NEDians. This is a great move, as we know that there is not a single place for all the nedians to converge and help others in there career development and to help those who will be graduating in the future.   NED's administration, as u guys might have seen the email of Dr.Amir recently, is not interested in the benefits and the situation is deteorating day by day.  Still the best people of karachi get admission there at NED and at the end of four years of their undergrad studies, they find it very difficult to survive in the market which is now more competative in the presence of graduates from FAST, GIK etc etc. Still we consider NED as the the best school of engineering in Pakistan or atleast in Karachi, but what is going on there, we all know about it.   For the alumni, I have an idea that instead of targeting each and every individual, we should target groups of individuals and email listings of students from different batches and different departments and try to converge all those email listings which are dispersed in the form of different yahoo groups and msn groups specific to particular departments and in turn specific to particular batches. I beleive we would be able to find lot of yahoo groups and msn groups of different classes, if some how we can converge them then we would be able to grab the information of lot of people.   This is some thing we nedians are lacking for a long time. NED;s alumni, if i am right, is the biggest among all the engineering schools of pakistan and most of them are serving outside pakistan at excellant positions.If we can share the knowledge of all of them then it will be a big boost for all of us.
