APNIC TRAINING IN PAKISTAN

 

 

We have arranged Training courses for young and up-coming young professionals of Pakistan on Internet Resource Management through the APNIC. These courses are scheduled to be held at Karachi on 6th and 7th April. It is proposed that the nominal fee of the courses @ Rs.3,000 for APNIC Members & Rs. 4,000 for Non-Members per day per person will be paid by the organizations / individual.

 

We are very thankful to the Cyber Net for sponsoring the whole event as well as the Hotel accommodation for the 3 APNIC Trainers. 

 

We will appreciate your encouragement of young professional of your organization to participate in the training.

 

Seats are limited for this event and registration will be based on first come first serve basis. It is a good opportunity for young & up-coming Internet Personnel.

The Internet resource management I course (IRM I) is a foundation course designed specifically for professionals responsible for requesting and managing Internet resources. The course discusses Internet resource policies and procedures. It teaches course participants how to competently request and manage IP addresses, AS numbers, and reverse delegations.

The target audience is professionals located in the Asia Pacific region, who have responsibility for requesting and managing Internet resources. For example IP managers, hostmasters, IT Managers, employees of network information centres or ISPs, network engineers, designers and network installation engineers.

Internet Resource Management II

Course description

The Internet resource management II course (IRM II) is a follow-up from the first course (IRM I). Course participants are assumed to be familiar with current APNIC policies and procedures. The course covers advanced aspects of Internet resource management such as the Internet Routing Registry, IPv6, reverse DNS, and Best Current Practices in IP address management.

The target audience is technical personnel of Local Internet Registries (LIRs) who have a good understanding of networking fundamentals. For example senior IP managers and hostmasters, employees of network information centres or ISPs, IT Managers, network engineers, designers and network installation engineers.

The Internet Resource Management I course above is a prerequisite for this second course.
