I don't have your original message on this. But, I seem to recall that
it implied that the Rachel list was somehow a "male" list and it implied
to me that that list might be a place where women might log on and find a
bunch of men to "bait"... Please correct me if my memory is faulty.
I don't find that anywhere in the posting on estrogen effects from the
Rachel newsletter. What *I* find there is an article about a potentially
legitimate environmental hazard... While the article focuses on male
reproductive health, it does also indicate that this hazard may be
related to increased breast cancer in women. We might argue that there
is a bias in the research because it emphasizes the former over the
latter, but I don't see it that way. Reproduction (for us, anyway)
involves *two* people -- one male and one female. Therefore, a study
about male reproductive health may focus biologically on the production
of sperm, but socially it is really about all of us. If we are exposing
ourselves and our children to hazardous products with these side effects,
then I think we need to study it carefully.
