Hey Al, this IS the ECOFEM list becasue we want to discuss the concepts
of ecofeminism,. Women still do most of the work in the world including
growing most of the food. Thus they are first exposed to pesticides, etc.
Women are in the best position(many would argue), to see what types of
changes need to be made (and are thus in the best position to develop
solutions) to make the environment a safer place for working people and
to protect bio-diversity. There are many books and articles on the
subject of ecofeminism..why don't you read a couple (I would suggest you
start with Dr. Shiva Vandana...although others might prefer other
authors). I don't think this is the place to teach you about ecofeminism,
or to discuss whether or not the list should even exist..an implication
of your suggestion that the name be changed.
Your arguments based on a position of knowledge of the ecofeminist movement
might be
more appreciated...right now your arguments are based on your IGNORANCE
of the subject(this is not meant as a insult..ignorance is not an
insulting term..just a fact).
