biological differences

IF testosterone is truly the cause of violence and aggression:

I heard from a reliable source (a friend of mine) that in males testosterone 
peaks at about 18 years of age, then drops off continually for the rest of the 
male's life. In women, testosterone is on a lifelong upward path which never 
peaks. Therefore, (assuming this is true), your average 40 year old woman 
might conceivably have more testosterone than the average 40 year old man, 
therefore (I am 41), some of you guys are (conceivably) in SERIOUS trouble 
<grin>.  IF testosterone is truly the cause of violence and aggression.

So, if we are going to buy into the argument that testosterone causes 
violence, why aren't "older" women more violent than men?


Please someone correct my error, if I have believed my otherwise reliable 
friend.
