Yes, drastically. Only the wealthy can stand for office is one of the
biggest problems with the 'democratic'? system. also I believe in
compulsary voting. If you really don't want to vote you can do an informal
vote - like some do in Australia. voluntary voting is always advocated by
the right wing as left wing voters often come from the more uneducated and
uninformed sections of society and are less likely to vote. The far right
wing in Australia want to introduce voluntary voting like it is for the US.
I am fighting this.
