Sara -- Some of the oddest people think about sustainable agriculture.
My father-in-law is somewhat of a redneck, but he shocked me one day. We
were talking about the farm across from his house and he said something to
the extent of the farmer always planting corn and wearing out the land.
My FIL's idea was crop rotation, etc. We got onto the subject of
moncultural crops and companion planting, and pesticides. I couldn't
believe it. Anyways, this came to my mind when you were talking about
Thomas Jefferson!
