Is it just me (Sara in Houston, by the way), or do others of you get the sense
that Rachel Carson is chuckling in her grave at the notion of a partnership
against weeds? Shall we cheer for the weeds?

I have been away for a while so I am not sure if this point has
been hashed out or not--
The plants that are called "weeds" are usually the plants that
have adapted to the ecosystem and its cycles. By removing these
"weeds" and allowing other plants to grow, you remove one of the
checks and balances of nature. In essence, the plant that you
wanted to grow, may soon become a "weed."
