CONSERVATION SYSTEMS ANALYST The Nature Conservancy Home Office in Arlington, VA seeks applications for the position of Conservation Systems Analyst (Heritage) to provide leadership and support in the research, analysis, design, and documentation of methodological and data standards for natural heritage inventory information management within the Network of Natural Heritage Programs and Conservation Data Centers. The Conservation Systems Analyst will be responsible for coordinating design activities by members of the Heritage network and for developing and maintaining conceptual data and process models and methodology manuals. All work will be performed in close cooperation with other Conservation Systems Analysts, software application developers and technical support staff in the Conservation Systems Department and botany, zoology, and ecology staff in the Conservation Science Division. The Conservation Systems Analyst should have a graduate degree in biology, natural resource management, information management, or a related field and at least four years experience in biological, natural resource, or conservation information management (such as designing collections, taxonomic, or natural resource databases, or ecosystem or population models) with demonstrated analytical and writing skills.
