Robert - we really need to know more about your workplace before we
can discuss this.  Normally, most people do *not* want to be injured -
unless they have a "problem" in their lives...
It could be that there is a communication problem here, it could be
bad morale in the group - or maybe production requirements are too
stringent.  I can see the group thinking that maybe production/profit
was more valuable than their safety.

Personally I am not a great endorser of labor unions.  I believe that in
this country unions have gone too far, and have caused many people to lose
their jobs.

My plant does not need a Union, it needs employees that care about their
job, and the company they work for.
