i remember a few years back there was a homeowner in west virginia or
somewhere remote who had a house with a huge front yard full of huge
'weeds' and the neighbors complained and the city ordered him to cut the
weeds. he refused, claiming (with quite a plethora of scientific grounds)
that the weeds were all useful for something and that he was using them. i
think the guy was a botanist. and he won.
