What a great list! You guys are going to keep me from
getting any work done.
Someone brought up an interesting question about whether
'tis better to live in the city or in rural areas. I
personally have a great affinity for the countryside and
the wilderness, so my preference is there, yet by the
very act of living there I destroy (or at least degrade)
the thing I love. Well, maybe not me single-handedly,
but assuming there are bunches of people who feel this
way, the outcome is fairly predictable. What's the
solution? Should I live miserably in a city or (my
intellectual preference) a communal situation of some
sort? And how come one person hates the city and another
one loves it?
Now for some quicky comments since I never got around to
contributing until now:
I don't eat meat because I refuse to contribute to such a
morally bankrupt industry.
I believe that spirituality is the source of what is best in
most of us, but that it must be moulded by rational thought
because of it's inidvidualistic nature.
Does anyone want to toss out a feminist comment on the
animal rights/environmental ethics debate?
