ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY.  Assistant Professor.  Tenure-track position to be
filled Fall, 1996, in US Environmental Policy/Politics.  Ph.D. or
equivalent required.  Research interests preferred in hazardous and
industrial waste management; environmental impacts of industry or mining;
and environmental regulation.  Historical perspective on environmental
issues desirable.  Applied experience useful, but not required.
    Successful applicants will have commitment to securing external funding
and will contribute to pending master's degree in environmental policy. 
Opportunity to participate in a major university-wide initiative on the
environment and work with graduate program in industrial history and
archaeology.  Salary competitive; normal teaching load 2 classes per
quarter, including introductory and advanced courses in area of expertise.
