Annotated Bibliography on Participatory and Collaborative Field  Research
Methods

The Community Partnership Center (CPC) at the University of Tennessee  (UTK)
is pleased to announce the availability of an extensive  "Annotated
Bibliography on Participatory and Collaborative Field  Research Methods" by
Lee Williams, a research fellow at the CPC.  The  bibliography began as part
of Williams' work in a graduate course on  field research methods sponsored
by the CPC at UTK and was completed  as part of a graduate specialty exam on
Participatory Sociology.  The  bibliography contains annotations for over
200 sources including  sections on "Introductions to Participatory Action
Research;"  Participatory Research Models" which includes subsections on
Action  Research, Applied Research, Critical Research, Ethnography, Evaluation
Research, Feminist Research, and PAR; "Participatory Tools and  Techniques"
which includes subsections on General Field Research,  Documents, Public
Records, Power Structure Research, Focus Groups,  Interviewing, Oral
History, Surveys, and Visual Research Methods.   Other sections include
"Using the Results;" "Indigenous Knowledge and  Culture in PAR;" "Working
With Differences and the Role of the  Participatory Researcher;" and a
number of "Case Studies" among  others.
