animals are SLAVES of humans.... just like blacks were slaves of whites.
we gather them up, torture them, refuse to give them freedom, and kill them
for our own profit and gain....
yes, amy it is just like saying men are in a position of power over womyn,
and whites over any other ethnic group, et cetera, and i did say that its
what we choose to do with our societal powers that matter...i, being an
urban, white, middleclass womyn, have come to recognize that my society
awards me certain advantages (i call them powers) over others in my same
society, and over the earth, and that others have certain powers over me.
BUT...having these powers doesn't mean i use them for *evil*, or even that i
use them at all...but they are accorded to me...whether i like it or not.
