Agreed... but it -can- be tied to feminism. For instance, why do
women drink milk, when such a beverage is meant for calves (-baby-
cows)?? As with womyn, cows do not lactate unless they have given birth.
And because the dairy industry does not wish to lose profits, the calf (i.e.,
veal calf or to-be-dairy-calf) is taken away from his/her mother within
a week following birth. Therefore, drinking milk not only takes the
nourishment from the calf, but also contributes to the killing of young
calves. But even beyond these issues, I cannot understand how women can
-willingly- consume the milk of other mammals... and doing so while
knowing the types of devices and the processes that are used to remove
the milk from the animals' bodies.
Just a thought.
