Professor, continuing, tenure track. Ph.D. required. Three courses per
semester, including Critical Thinking and/or Introduction to Philosophy.
Seeking person who will be an excellent teacher and a strong researcher,
with interest in interdisciplinary courses. AOS: Open, though the
department has a need in the area of social and political philosophy. AOC:
Social and political philosophy (if not the AOS) as well as African
philosophy, African-American philosophy, and ethics. The Department is
already strong in history of philosophy, formal logic, and epistemology.
Usual nonteaching duties. Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications
and experience. Opportunities for summer employment depend on University
