Ah, now we're talking! When will the revolution begin? Where is it to
take place? Isn't it a revolution of thinking first and foremost? It is
imperitive that we create a concrete and workable ethic, be it Feminist
Ethic, Environmental Ethic, Ecofeminist Ethic, or anyother name WE choose
to use. We spend a lot of time and energy responding to the divide and
conquer tactics of men (look at record of who adds fuel to the fire when
things calm down.) Or we spend a lot of time trying to develop an ethic
that will work within the existing patriarchal framework. The purpose for
this self justification/rationalization is either to assuage the guilty
feelings for supporting ourselves or attempting to "change the system from
within." Instead of Ghandi, I choose to use Audre Lorde's analogy of you
can't defeat the master with the master's tools. (I'm paraphrasing.)

There seems to be a lot of people in academia on this list. What is being
done to pass on knowledge? Where are people working out the issues and
the program? I'm still looking for supporters on my campus.

By the way, I'm very grateful that the list is now downloading once a day.
It makes managing the mail from this list much easier. Thanks to the
Maintainers of the List.
