I just recently joined this listserv, and so did not receive the first message from Kylie Matthews. My apologies if my comments are repeating a point made earlier. . . but just in case. . . I think it's really scary to try to build up women's power by belittling men. Where does that get anyone? Why does any one sex have to better or worse than the other? So what if evidence shows that women, on the whole, are more intelligent than men. Does that mean that I (a women) am smarter than the guy sitting at the next terminal. ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! OPPRESSION OF ANYONE IS NOT A GOOD IDEA. By saying that men aren't smart enough to see that oppression is not a good idea, you're oppressing them. .. . seems kind of hypocritical to me.
