Some ppl may be interested in fiction. I am currently reading 'A plague of
Angels' by Sheri Tepper. It has interesting ideas in it about how
patriarchy ruined the planet (it is post appocalyptic) and how the ppl who
are left can manage it. Sheri Tepper has strong feminist ideas which come
out in her novels, and this book looks particularly at how the earth has
been/will be destroyed, and how to fix it. It is not an easy fix solution
by any means.

Worth a read though, if anyone wants something non-academic but still
thought provoking. It also has stuff about animals rights to life which
certain vegetarians on this list may appreciate.
