Swansea Conference 1997, 'Literature and the Natural Environment'
March 25th-27th 1997
This conference is the first of its kind in Europe. It will bring
together scholars from four continents, with around 50+ papers plus
poetry readings, field trips and a 'ceilidh' Celtic night. There will be three
plenary speakers - Prof J Bate (Liverpool, 'Romantic Ecology'), Prof
L Buell (Harvard, 'The Environmental Imagination'), Prof P Murphy
(Indiana, 'Literature, Nature and Other'). Registration should be
